Life Christian Preschool provides a nurturing Christian preschool and Pre-K program for children ages 2½–5 in Alexandria, Virginia. Located on Franconia Road near Kingstowne, Springfield, and Rose Hill, we offer caring teachers, hands-on learning, biblical truth, and flexible three-, four-, and five-day schedules.

Our program helps children grow academically, socially, emotionally, physically, and spiritually in a safe and joyful environment. Before- and after-care options are also available for families who need an extended day.

Purpose

Life Christian Preschool exists to help children grow spiritually, socially, emotionally, and academically through individualized attention and hands-on learning. Within a nurturing Christian community, we encourage every child to learn, explore, create, and experience the love of Christ.

Program

  • 2 1/2 and 3 year old - 3, 4, and 5 days a week

  • 4 year old Pre-K - 4 or 5 days a week

  • Extended care 8am to 4pm

What We Offer

  • Art/Library/Movement
    • Preschoolers are full of energy and our daily "specials" classes give them a chance to express themselves and explore. We offer art, library and movement weekly. In movement, we work on basic movements and gross motor skills through fun games. During library time, we encourage a love for books and language. Art helps grow and develop creativity, problem solving ability, communication skills, and self-esteem
  • Pre-K Spanish
    • We offer Spanish lessons in our Pre-K weekly. Learning a second language boosts confidence, improves cognitive skills, provides cultural enrichment, improves language skills, and it's fun.
  • Pre-K Afterschool STEM
    • STEM is perfect for preschoolers because their brains are primed for new information and explorations. STEM makes math and science fun, teaches critical thinking, encourages creativity for problem solving, encourages a love of learning through play and hands-on experience. And the children have a blast!

Activities

  • We schedule monthly special events for the students and their families - petting zoo, reptile alive, puppet shows, St. Jude's Trike-a-thon.
  • We coordinate with outside vendors to bring in after school programs - soccer and tae kwon do.
  • We offer extended school year - 3 optional weeks of school in June - and REC camps in July.

Worship

Our weekly worships are engaging and spotlight the children. Each class retells/acts out the weekly bible lesson through the year. The spotlighting of a class each week promotes class unity and cooperation. And gives the children the chance to be the center of attention.
